Thanks so much for the crits. I do agree with the doggy dung comment, also the point about ne'er. Loved the whole poem, especially th use of sibilance (is that the term? spellchecker says not). Also enjoyed in v4, the relaxing use of the letter l (esp. lamp-lit) giving the feeling that all is well, then that final celebration.

There is a house that's filled with common folk who've risen to the limit of their station. They do their best to bother and provoke and blame the opposition on the matters of taxation. Hey Richard, I really enjoyed the ride of this one. It starts out so light hearted, then crashes into the seriousness of the disease. I prefer the original draft.
