The last shot of the monastery is very impressive. You get a sense of how massive it is by the angle.

Re: Cup of Noodles

Isn't exactly my cup of noodle...looks a little old Marten. ;)
Looks like a drive by noodling...yeah, I know. Bad.

I liked the shapes and the cleaness of the palette on this one. I would love to see it framed.

Lake,
Your shots are expressive and wonderful. You can even tell it was a hot day in some of them. I particularly liked the shots of the water--very pristine and calming.

What a unique site this is. I've never seen any other poetry site that offers anteaters as girlfriend-substitutes.
I do not want a girlfriend or an anteater...but a hedgehog might do...yes Ros, strange site.....

Hi Dante,
Not sure why no one commented on this one--really serene setting. Love the watercolor feeling. Where was this taken? Is the quote yours or borrowed?

Re: Leaves of Grass, Part One

I unfortunately either badly misplaced my camera (haven't checked my freezer yet) or someone nicked it out of my car. Not sure which but nevertheless am in agony without it. I was borrowing a lesser cannon and frustrated with the results although I am happy this came out. Standard lens. I have never...

LeMinh, this is a work of art even though hard to read. There is something about the crispness of it--aethestically pleasing. I like this a lot. What other stuff do you have up your sleeve?

Hi Dante, Great shot of you by the way..If you approach this like it was a painting there are several things going on. One, you have used a 'Strong Diagonal' with the bow crossing the lower portion of your chin. Strong Diagonals can be seen in such artworks as "Boats at the Beach" by Van G...

The right eye...Up close they look the same but this one is actually brown and my other one green. Some genetic mixup. Just playing around with the camera again. As if I don't have anything better to do than photo my eyes. http://photos-g.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs094.snc1/5141_1162651312131_14...

These are great. They look very, very professional. I would say that I like the red toned photo the best--especially the way its formatted with the guitar in the foreground intersecting with the head behind it.

How beautiful. Really, the poem moves sublimely throughout. Polished you did:
where spilled chairs form a fallen

henge. The grill spits, as raindrops start
to drip on the pork-pocked embers.
Slowly they release their heat
No crits--just praise.

You have an interesting and intrepid way of taking two themes that seem entirely irrelevant to each other, mish mash them up into one poem and make them work! Stella, said cranky old Jonathan, Stella shits, by God!! For that reason he withdrew: 18th century idiot. Not sure I understood the reference...
