Nausea - Satre

Was Albert Camus a better goalkeeper than George Orwell? Have your say here.

If only to start a new thread, what's wrong with ya'll? Surely someone among us has read a book of late?

Anyhow, Nausea, yeh, disturbing so far and I'm only 10 pages in.

The heightened awareness of inanimate objects struck a chord. In fact I fear this is a book so aware of itself, that I'll be in it before long.

Quite frightening.

Sartre is poopy, his road to freedom trilogy is just a grind...

I've never read any Sartre but kudos to Lars for using the word "poopy".

Book wise I am half through Pynchon "Against the Day", an easier read then V or Gravitys Rainbow.

Have also just finished, again, "Slaughterhouse 5" and would highly recommend "Doctor Glas" by Hjalmar Soderberg, which I found was excellant.

On the poetry front I keep dipping into "Actual Air" by Dave Beman, lead singer of the Silver Jews.

so there we go.
After one look at this planet any visitor from outer space would say 'I want to see the manager.
