I'm currently trying to get PG included on Wikipedia - ie with its own page.

All self-penned/potentially publicity seeking articles get tagged by Wiki for "rapid deletion" - however you are allowed to "contest" this decision - which I am doing. There then follows a 2 week period when the Wikipedians bat it backwards and forwards and vote. Hopefully I'll get in through the same door as Find a Grave and the Political Graveyard.

The entry, if included, will contain a para about this forum: what it's about/who contributes and aims and objectives etc.

Will know by 17th dec.

Don't know if any of you contribute to Wiki? It is a gigantic but totally worthwhile endeavour, I think.

I set up a Wikipedia account just the other day, because I think it's cool and I wanted to learn the ropes. I like tidying up bad grammar when I run across it. Good luck with getting PG listed.

Cheers kaj.

It's quite exciting really. The score is currently:

PG 4 (+ one abstainer) Reject Bucket 0

I threatened them with the British Library, but they wanted to see proof - which I've now provided.

Wah hey!!!! It's on.

kj - you can tidy up my grammar now (lol).

If anyone wants to add to the page, please do. (The page is editable.) However, you have to use "neutral" language - so you can't say we're fab - or conversely - shite.

Cheers

Thanks guys.

Kris - it won't bring me as much traffic as my other Wiki links (the ones on the poets' pages) - but it's useful from a PR point of view. To get on at all you have to pass the Wikipedia "notable" test - so it's a kind of recognition - which is nice.
