Hi All

i am new to peotry and this forum. I love reading and have always wanted to write. I did a writing course many years ago but think I expected too much and never started again. Every year around this time i decide this is the year but I never do anything about it. This year I was browsing some websites and became attracted to the poetry on there. I had never considered writing poetry (probably because I don't read much of it) but for some reason decided to give it a go and I've really enjoyed it. I think it's the fact that I've actually completed something.

I've posted a couple of reviews rather nervously. I think it actually helped me to think more about poetry as I had to read it carefully - hopefully that will help me with my writing.

Looking forward to chatting with people and reading more poems.

Welcome

A very perceptive comment that reading with a view to critting helped you in your writing. I agree with that.

Hello Karalma

Nice to here from you.

Even though you gave up on the writing coarse it must still have worked as I understood the whole of your introductory!

Looking forward to reading your poetry.
