Greetings, I am new to this site, and chose it because the name resonated! I'm not sure if it was gloomy outside on that day or just that I was writing something slightly sombre, but I chose this forum over several others that came up when I googled "poetry forums." I am 31, and used to write a lot of poetry back in my teens. I won a runner up prize or too; some of it was good, most of it wasn't - but I really want to get back to writing regulary now. My boyfriend is also a writer, and we are currently both working on novels, and dreaming of getting published! I love writing poetry because I think of it as the most versatile form of writing, that can have such a profound affect on the reader, when it's done well! Which is the goal :D I look forward to reading other peoples work, and hearing their thoughts on mine! Enjoy! x x x
