Hello from a poet of sorts

Hi all,

I’m a poet of dubious stock. I have dabbled in writing poetry on and off over the years with no great ambition to get published. The enjoyment for me is in the writing, reading and sharing. All critical feedback is welcome and I’ll try my best give useful feedback. Thanks in advance to anyone who reads and/or responds to my posts

Yes, welcome MB. You will definitely get feedback on your writing. All feedback is subjective, poetry is an art not a science, but hopefully some will be helpful - that is your decision, after all the poems are your voice!

Thanks for the welcome David and Mac, I appreciate you dropping in to say hello.

The boards are a little quieter than I expected but it is holiday season and I prefer quality to quantity so I'm quite happy.

The feedback I have received so far has been very helpful. I agree that poetry writing is an art... I wonder if we would say the same thing about review writing.

There could be a gap in the forum market for critiquing critiques.

So please you weren't offended by my fiddling with your poem.
I'm rubbish at critique.
It's easier for me to rearrange words rather than explain what I feel works and doesn't for me.
