Hey everyone,

I've been a member here for a while but never written one of these so I thought I'd give it a go.

I'm still sort of a beginner I only started writing poems last year and have only ever finished a handful of them. One of my first was selected as a featured poem on here which gave me the confidence to keep trying.

I'm from the North East (Newcastle to be precise) and I'm currently working as a Chemical Engineer which isn't leaving me a lot of time to write.

The help from some of the regulars on the boards here has been great. Hopefully I'll be able to post some of the poems that are giving me trouble still and get the help to finish them or the encouragement to give up on those that aren't working. I’m thick skinned and never take offence.

Hopefully I will get that flash of inspiration soon.

Adam.
