My name is Andrew, im 27 and living near Cardiff in Wales, I have been writing poetry for years, dont really read alot to be honest, I just write my own style about my own feelings and experiences.

My other interests include watching movies, listening to lots of different music, writing, playing hockey and watching ice hockey!.....amongst other things that is!

Anyway, hope to fit in with this new community!

Thanks

Andrew

Welcome to the forum -

Hopefully we'll all make you read more poetry in the near future, i.e. ours :).

Welcome Diablo,

Good to have you on board.

"dont really read alot to be honest, I just write my own style about my own feelings and experiences. "

You may well be advised along the way to read as much poetry as you can. Tis all well and good writing about your "own feelings and experiences" but these require expanding - questions: Who are you writing for, yourself or the reader? How interesting is your life?

If you answer myself and not very interesting how can you expect others to find your poetry engaging?

Don't get me wrong, life on the whole isn't very interesting, so you need to look for new ways to express the monotony, hey, you may be a sky diving porn star for all I know, if so I look forward to your next poem, if not, I still do, just with not as much relish.

cheers

Sky diving porn poetry would be most engaging indeed.

Welcome. I'll be the first, I suppose, you'll never improve without reading other people.

Cheers,

Welcome Diablo69

A very evocative name! Isn't "Diablo" a brand of coffee?

Look forward to your posts.

Welcome, Nick.

I've never tried sky diving - I expect I'd muff it up if I did.

But you'd only make the mistake once.
