After two fellow scribblers urged me to introduce myself here, I've plucked up the courage to do so.
I was a teacher (of English of course) till recently, but retired because of ill health. I've written over fifty poems in the last two years, mainly quite personal, but also I hope with some relevance for other people. I am good-natured until taunted, and then I can become mildly opinionated. My ambition is to have something published eventually, but most of my poems were written primarily to express or purge emotions which were strong at the time. I hope some of my poems have some meaning for you, and do not remain sterile exercises in skilful word-arrangement.

Hello Mr Vincent Sir.
Do you mind if I call you Bob out of school hours or would that be an impertinence?
I look forward to you correcting my punctuation (And I mean it!)
Welcome aboard. Angus
PS. I love powerful poetry, driven by emotion. Let us have some.

If you do not choose your words carefully then you will have chosen your master.
