I've written on and mainly off for 25 years.I have found that like most of us I suspect that we are compelled to write when emotionally charged and something clicked a few weeks back and I wrote a poem which put me to tears
which I'm really pleased to admit because it felt like a great weight had been lifted( awful cliche) and now I've written
7 poems in the last week.
Hopefully the river thats now gushing from my pen will not lapse into a drought,but i'm ready for when it calls again.
