Hey all.

I've decided to hang up my poetic boots, they weren't making much ground anyhow, hardly worn really.

I'll admit that I find the "poetic" establishment and many of the people involved tiresome and sickeningly middle class. It's just not for me anymore. This place has become staid, I can almost smell the tweed.

That said, I've met some wonderful people on here, had some great times, and I believe progress was made with my own writing ! I wish you all the very best.

If anyone would like to keep in touch I'm on Facebook - Kris Thain

So if you'd like to de-activate me as a "mod" (Seems some boring uptight twats aren't too happy with my lack of contributions)

Of course I may pop in from time to time, see how ya'll doing.

Take care all

Kris x

All the best Kris, I've really enjoyed hanging out on PG with you. Despite your fondness for Leonard Cohen, you've written some brilliant poems.

I deleted my facebook account so I guess this is (boo hoo) goodbye...

Fare thee well mate, I'll miss you.

See you on facial book still, I hope, Kris.

Aye. I'll be there too. I'll miss you here, though. You never wrote as many poems as you should have done.

I really liked those recordings of you reading your poetry, Kris. I hope you won't pack that in!
Good luck!

Thanks guys.

It is a shame really, but I just don't have the erm...Capacity? for it any longer. And it seems odd and indeed unfair to be a mod whilst not actually engaging in the purpose of the forum!

But if the bug ever bites again I'll be sure to disinfect it.

See you on Facial Book, Ha!

sorry to read this, but it is logical.

Not sure if my absence of presence is more to blame for the "staid."

I think I have befriended the wrong Kris Thain on FB.

fare thee well,

You mean there's more than one! Odd...

Thanks, Jane, I'll be knocking around, just not writing poems, probably...

Kris,

Everyone needs to [s]leave[/s] take a sabbatical from PG at least once, in my view, to fully appreciate what it has to offer.

As has been said, your distinctive voice will be sorely missed - until you come roaring back in a Big Yellow Taxi.

Poetry has always been the property of the middle classes - it's up to us to move in next-door and bring the property values down.

Don't be a stranger
