The most miserable time of the year.
Well, we're getting close the most miserable time of the year so who's up for spreading a bit of joy and stuff?
How about posting things that make you happy? I know that as poets you're all a bunch of cynical sods, so I don't want anything that's cool or clever, just fun. And none of that nasty old schadenfreude business.
Anything at all, film clips, pictures, even a poem or two if that takes your fancy.
Here's my first one to get the ball rolling, I've loved it since I was kid, it always makes me laugh............I'm a simple soul really!

Fantastic track Stuart, I'd totally forgotten about it, certainly put a smile on my face!
Cheers,

This cheers me up while the weather is shite and I can't get a track day which is what I've been up to while not writing of late, hence my participation at PG. Aside from the bad weather and being unable to work on the car, I missed this place
to anticipate touching what is unseen seems far more interesting than seeing what the hand can not touch
Nice one David, enjoyed that.
Hello Dante, I can't really say that I'm a car kind of a guy but 'one man's meat' and all that, more power to you! Good to see you back again.

Oskar, that's brilliant. The Casablanca clip is hilarious and Young Frankenstein is one of my favourites.
Which reminds me:
Which reminds me:
Well that's really weird, when I first looked that first clip of Oskar's was from Casablanca and now it's spookily changed to another Young Frankenstein!!!
Nash,
I got embedding disabled when I tried to play it here, so I replaced it with more Frau Blucher! She reminds me of an old dinner lady I had at school. Will try again. Here's hoping -
btw Love the Werewolf/There wolf gag.
I feel some Abbott and Costello coming on - but I'll try to resist the temptation.

Love the Shrek video David, as an Eels fan this was my favourite clip from the first movie.
Finally seen the final Shrek movie and found it a welcome return to form.
Love Power - Lorenzo St. DuBois

Well, this is all going very well isn't it?
Suzanne, I love your Bulbous Bouffant (now there's a sentence I never thought I'd say!).

This is from my second favourite film of all time, it was very difficult to choose a clip but decided on this one:

This is great fun! I am really enjoying the black and whites. Thanks all for posting these.
Again, I am going off the main road... follow me, lol!
Here is one from the Bob and Tom Show (a Chicago radio station).
I dedicate this to Select Samaritan because, well, I can.... and I think he may like it.

What is that from, Nash? Q8?
Shrek's one of my favourite films, Ben, and 2 has its moments, but I thought 3 was painfully bad. Has there been a return to form? (I think my second favourite film in Shrek is the one at the games at the start.)
Ah, the old sanity clause!
It's going very well indeed, Nash. It's put me in a mood of seasonal jollity, which will only be improved when we finally - tonight, we hope - get our daughter back from university. She left Edinburgh yesterday afternoon, got stuck at Manchester last night, and this morning took a taxi to Liverpool for the afternoon boat. Nearly here!

suzanne - loved the bulbous bouffant - now that would be a good comp using those words!
