Home of the Welsh poet Hedd Wynn and the nuclear power station.
This is the first bunk house I've ever been in with a computer.
Weather is windy and overcast.

Cam,
I've always been fascinated by the story of Hedd Wynn (Welsh for 'white peace') real name Ellis Evans, and the fact he was awarded the 'Bardic Chair' posthumously after he was killed in WW1. The chair was draped in black at the eisteddfod whilst his winning poem 'The Hero' was read out.
A humble shepherd. Very sad.

They have a statue of him in the centre of the village - which has turned rather green with age (copper?). I've got a picture coming - surrounded by over weight mountain bikers.
Minst - the eisteddfod in question was held (I think) in Birkenhead. (Really)
No disrespect to Trawsfynnd (ha ha) but it makes Royston Vasey look like Milan. There's a butcher's shop circa. 1936 which doesn't have any meat for sale (Monty Python Cheese Shop), 2 of the worst pubs in the world and a radioactive fishing lake.
