Dear Webmaster,

The exhibition, Yeats: The Life and Works of William Butler Yeats, which has been described in The Irish Times as "one of the most important literary exhibitions yet staged internationally," opened to unanimous acclaim on May 25, 2006. Since then, over 90,000 people of all ages and nationalities have delighted in exploring the multimedia rich experience. In November 2006 the exhibition won the prestigious Association of Heritage Interpretation Interpret Britain and Ireland Award and most recently Best Business to Consumer Innovation category at the 2008 Irish Digital Media awards and the exhibition companion book, Works and Days, won the CLÉ (Irish Book Publishers' Association) Best Overall Production Award in 2007.

The Library has now developed a virtual exhibition website, www.nli.ie/yeats, where visitors can explore the exhibition thematically and chronologically online using interactive technology.

The exhibition and website are sure to be of great interest to Yeats enthusiasts and to those interested in Irish literature, history and culture generally. We would like to encourage you to explore the site and to publicise it to your members by adding this link to your page/mailing list: www.nli.ie/yeats

For groups visiting the exhibition in person, guided tours are available by appointment – details of how to arrange a tour are available on the website. If you have any other queries, please do not hesitate to contact us at yeats@nli.ie .

Thank you,

Harriet Wheelock
