Rabbie Burns etc

How many poets does it take to change a light bulb?

Popped along to see the Burns mausoleum at Dumfries yesterday. It is situated in the St Michael's churchyard in the centre of the town. This is a seriously spooky cemetery with massive gothic style stones, plinths and tombs. (Not to be visited at night.) Thoughts of Burke and Hare and Dr Frankenstein sprung to mind.

Also visited the grave of Hugh MacDiarmid (alias Christopher Murray Grieve) which lies in the small town of Langholm. Another exponent of the old Scottish dialect.

The Kirroughtree black mountain bike route was also rather fine.
