Laughs aside, I'd always assumed that these words were normally part of a form response, and as such had the possibility of being euphemistic.

I like the line break on 'your', which hangs there allowing any number of options to follow, such as 'crap', before you read on to the next line. It also suggests that the writer of these words may have paused here and decided to use a more complementary word than the one they initially thought of.
