the sky cats paws in blue paint
the sun a collection of documents on fire,
the foreshore sand grains of ambiguous
hand waving aborigines playing beach volley ball,
ducking hunting, waterbirds arc round in aboundence,
an emu on cheap cruise control
with a spear in its leg, behind a ned kelley grevilleas,
has a need of a hoist and sydchrome tool kit

OK Gavin, I give in.
I have spent half a lifetime and drunk a crate of fosters
and only understood to the end of line one.

But then I am left-handed and my brain is in upside down and back to front.....
(I also got oyster kilpatrick poisoning at Potato Point a time back)

I like the second line, Gavin.
The poem is a view of a crowded beach?

Great potential coming through.... I've said before, I think it's great when people write about real life and don't just force out some shit about nothing anybody cares about. It's real life observation, and that is the poetry I like best.
