Yes, we're all very naughty and should be suspended from class, Brian. For my part, though, even if I had the time (and I really, really haven't) collaboration on a poem is not for me. I can barely get along with myself for most of the time, let alone someone else. And I will always let you down.

Thanks k-j.
Is there a deadline?

Hello Ryan P. I'll send a note via PM so that we can start making poetry together!

And here I was reading Suzanne's "anon" as "soon". How Shakespearian I am...how noble, how poetic!

If anyone else is reading this and wanting to join in, I'm still available. Send me a PM if you like. Otherwise I'm quite happy to just observe.
If you've still got an odd number by the time this comp starts count me in, but as a newcomer I think the site's longer standing members should be given first refusal. Knowing I've got till the end of the month does help.
to be totally honest... whenever you feel you really shouldn't write that, that's exactly what you should write.

I am utterly destroyed by this.

Utterly.

Not sure I can play a part in this now.

Esteem has been rock bottomed.

However if you are willing to take a risk with me Bodkin, I shall give it my best.

Best Regards

If I may misquote Groucho Marx - I don't want to partner anyone dumb enough to want me as a partner.

When it comes to collaboration, I am in the Resistance.
When it comes to cooperation, I am a Nazi.
I work alone - just the two of me.

Hello.

I am disappointed but I feel I must bow out of the comp.

Owen has forfeited participating by his absence and although his font said "yes", his lack of correspondence tells me he meant "no". My hands are tied with his silence.

Darn.

Remember, everyone, that when you pm someone it's not enough to type their name in the box - you have to press 'add' as well. It's not that obvious.

Owen how could you. That is so ungen'lemanly and you a Harvard an' all. Sorry I've got that completely lodged in my head and no amount of telling me you are a Durham PG will undo it. You're Quentin in Harvard.

I'm sure I've managed to PM people reasonably straightforwardly and I'm a chimp.

As far as I know, the default is that the inbox will automatically delete the oldest message to squash the new one in.

It's got nothing to do with the pm system.

Life gets busy. He's kindly sent a pm saying he's been not had computer access since we last exchanged pms.
Things like that happen. I am sure his intentions were good.

You forgot your hat.

Who would bother setting it so that it stays full and they can't get any more messages?

Fair enough.
I don't think that setting has always been the default - Nicola will no doubt tell me otherwise.
At a couple of other sites I frequent I often see posts about Inboxes being full.

I do believe these gloves are yours. And possibly these galoshes - unless the milkman left them.

Actually I don't know what the default settings are. I'm just making it up.

It was an informed/inspired guess, then.
I was just supplying a legit reason why someone might not answer a PM.

Though he was out of touch, Owen was writing as he'd agreed.
