AMALGAMATING

Who am i?
Am i you?
a face,
mind, hiding.
Who are you?
Am i you?
it,
us masquerading.
A masked imposter,
inside a body,
yours,
mine,
ours, pretending.
You, are me,
i am you,
Joined as one,
in wedding vows.
Two,
not one,
us, thinking,
we.
Problems shared
and felt as one,
us
not one,
complete,
together and
amalgamating,
us,
amalgamated.

I think maybe you should read the forum rules - no more than two poems per day - that's why 'Baby' and 'Cornwall Dream' are having a break - they'll be back.

Is this your poem AC? It sounds very familiar, and I'm impressed if you wrote something that gives that feeling - it's difficult to pull off.
Keep at it kid.

thanks mick, i wrote it in 1994, i was very low at the time, perhaps i shall be low in myself again and do more like it if you liked it, lol;
I think at the time i was trying to figure out my marriage, i have loads of scraps of strange stuff written down all over the place and go back to them from time to time for new assesment or re write but most of them like amalgamating have been what i don't show to people, as i thought no one would understand them and think i'm a rambling lunatic, until now,
thanks again, so much i needed that. AC
