Fossilization is a scientific example of transubstantiation, which is the conversion of one material or substance into another. In this case, organic compounds get mineralized. But much like the Catholic Church doesn't push the mechanics of alcohol to hemoglobin, I just went with a general idea. But unlike the Church, it still works if put to the test.
