The bloodied shovel
Propped outside an old hovel
Who dares enter in?

Who dares enter?
Fee, Fie, Foe, Fum...I'll grind his
bones to make my bread!

“Bones to make my bread!”
Cry the voices in my head,
guilt, heavy like lead.

Guilt, heavy like lead.
Lead--laden, heavy with gilt.

Oh the IRONy!
Ho Ho, it just gets better
each time I hear it.
to anticipate touching what is unseen seems far more interesting than seeing what the hand can not touch

Each time I hear it.
Far better than the tiny
voice, in my left ear.
In the beginning there was nothing, and it exploded. (Terry Pratchett on the Big Bang Theory)

Voice in my left ear,
tells me that my right ear is
conspires against me.

like passing of time assaults
my body with age.

my body with age
grows strong, withers to weakness,
grasps eternity.
After letting go of branches and walking through the ape gait, we managed to grasp what hands were really for......

"grasps eternity"?
if I am lucky enough
to grasp the instant.

To grasp the instant
For a moment of pleasure,
we hold and embrace.

we hold and embrace
both fortunes and misfortunes -
that’s how the world runs.

That’s how the world runs –
minute by erratic hour –
not at all clockwork.

Extrenal worship?
It could be an outside job -
pray externally.
