( Tanka poems )

I.

blind beggar
croons a strange tune
inside a local train
coins in his bowl
rattle with the jerks

II.

ice cream vendor
wipes his forehead
in cloudless June
squeaking handle
of a deep tube-well

III.

Sunday morning
rocks with
‘Smoke on the water’
two flippant grasshoppers
near the lake

Hi,

It's good to see more of this series. I love the image of the "flippant grasshoppers" - that's my favourite line. Just one point - we'd normally say "in a bowl", not "on a bowl".
