me and a lighthouse--
our clouds
crimson and blue

**
skimmers fly past
light station’s crown--
eastern sky glows

**
pink starfish
hunts oysters--
sand grains on my limbs

**
near a nesting colony
black headed gulls
mob two carrion crows

**
no breeze at noon--
one herring gull
joins my lunch

**
three terns
watch the purple globe
descend

**
evening waves crash
tower emits beams--
not for the dead auk

Lots of nice images / contrast here. My favourite was 'no breeze at noon', which is beautifully done.

I really like your first verse...

'me and a lighthouse--
our clouds
crimson and blue'

It's very personal. I understand that feeling. I lived by the coast as a boy, and would consider secluded coves as my own. Your poem reminded me of the light houses and beaches found on the German islands, close to Denmark. Good use of imagery.
