ife can be very precious
and valuable to some
to others it means nothing
it's a chore and never fun

for me life is a struggle
a constant demon always near
my emotions were never normal
was common to shed a tear

it was my little furry friend
who provided me with light
and without her affection
my days were always night

but i am here now
i can thank fraggle for this
was because she needed care
that kept me out of the abyss

it was a little fluffy dog
who helped me to mend
she will always be remembered
as my greatest ever friend

Hi there.

Very simple, and very sincere. A good combination for me. I'd thought on seeing the title that this was perhaps to do with Churchill's Black Dog. Mind you, "Fraggle" he could never be referred to as. Its always a good thing to be creative when you're on the other side of that dark cloud, helps to keep the positive in perspective.

On a minor note,

was because she needed care

would fit a bit better and avoid the skewed syntax.
