your hands
give words new shapes
push words into celestial spaces
suddenly your hand in mine, briefly
palms touch
fingertips rush
swish warm air between our talk
truth cradled like a small treasure in your clever palms
hands that grace the space between our moving lips
tap a tune on crossed knee or cluttered table top
squeeze my fingertips
cup wet cheeks
hands that attend without fuss
cold hands (warm heart)
seasoned touch
hands that salve
hands that help, hold
hold odd-shaped hearts
carefully
caress
these hands
scholarly hands that hoe the air
you lay your hands on me
your hands
Hands

Mic,
A lot of nice images here, like a collage.
I am a lover of hands and all they represent. Most of my poems mention hands, I bet that would be the case if I looked back... So, I like the topic very much.
There is a good pace here, too. It seems to capture some free flowing thoughts, daydreaming thoughts.
I would add a few words to make it less choppy sounding to the ear and let the images flow together better but, I am known to be too wordy so, lol.
Nice poem, great topic,
Suzanne

Yes hands say lots of things that words alone cannot. liked your poem the first part up to, " squeeze my fingertips." Felt personal and romantic liked it up to there. The second half seemed to go into a list of what hands can do wasn't so keen."Cold hands warm heart!" As if you'd got a bit bored and just daydreamed the last bit. enjoyed reading it though.

scholarly hands that hoe the air. GREAT but you could be GREATER.
This is very well scripted, Mic. Like the easy flow and the play with words.
Enjoyed.

Very nice, Mic, it flows beautifully. I did wonder about the dynamics of this relationship. Sounds a bit teacher - student in places, but that might be me (or that might be right).
Two "holds"?
Still, very good.
Cheers

I love the feel of this - no play on words intended! It feels very honest, and flows beautifully. Thank you for sharing it with us.
