Straw figures
yet to be smeared with clay
occupy his tattered studio.

Sun shafts seeping in
form luminous spots on floor,
on the frameworks.

Flouting stillness,
a sparrow family
flutter and frolic
around the mighty arms.

Another great poem which could certainly be extended! Is the last paragraph in reference to a statue?
