I've been given plenipotentiary powers for this month, so I have chosen my favourite poems from Beginners, and there was much to like - not just the ones I have listed below, but I had to draw an arbitrary line somewhere. So ...
I like Suzanne's Carnival Triolet because it's a bright, cheerful, pulsating thing, like a Catherine Wheel.
I like Nicky B's Your turn because it takes a clever idea and doesn't overdo it.
I like R P Jackson's en attendant because it's so clever, and so gleefully pleased with itself for being so clever, although I'm not sure it should really be in Beginners at all.
I like the whole series of poems for his dad by oggiesnr, although I think October 25th is my favourite.
But for my feature I'm going to choose Carnival Triolet by Suzanne.

Wow. My husband just laughed, I have said Wow about 25 times. Thank you, David. Wow. It is very encouraging. Wow. Thank you.
Well done everyone! Nice to see such life blooming.
Warmly,
Suzanne

Very well done all, especially Suzanne!
I completely missed your triolet on the boards, perfect combination of form and content, it works really well.

Congratulation Suzanne for a delightful Triolet. And to R P Jackson, Nicky B and Steve for catchy pieces.
