Vātsyāyana wrote too of curries

of brown skinned onions, peeled
to yield to warmed oils and the
turn of his hand…

of crushing then stripping slutty garlic
lushness; fingers of Gauloises, yet
tongue of bonne bouche…

of the spike of the chilli, slicing
through ginger’s Disney-eyed feints for
yet one more flash in his pan…

and then of their sat phere
with his pestle’s grinds, cumin
coriander, turmeric, and the other paturiyā

and before the flesh
and before the fluids
he closed his eyes
and he breathed it in
and he breathed…

for the spices
oh… for the spices…

G'day Nar,
Very much enjoyed the foodie eroticism of this, excellently appropriate title, and a satisfyingly climactic ending.
Regards, C.

Enjoyed. I reckon wrote also is better than wrote too.

of crushing then stripping slutty garlic
lushness; - wouldn't you strip before crushing?

ginger’s Disney-eyed feints - don't get that

cumin and turmeric are quite erotic words, it occurs to me now.
I'm out of faith and in my cups
I contemplate such bitter stuff.

Hi nar

Love the title and the supporting eroticism. This is a brilliant extended metaphor that provides
enough info' to prepare a curry AND enjoy the delights of the Korma Sutra. Not too much chilli
in a Korma though, give me a Madras with breast meat only. Love a Madras. :D Educational too.
Not sure why you've included Gauloises. I always think of the very strong French cigarette but
it could be a reference to all things Gallic or something well beyond my ken. The latter I suspect.

Anyway, great close that appeals on more than one level.

Best

Thanks, everyone.

Just a bit of silly fun; glad it appealed to some of you.

We like a good curry here in Brum. And I enjoyed this too. Yes Stripping followed by crushing I think. But other than that....

All the best Kev
