I like this. Nicely menacing, especially gathering for feasting they see him smile / curling asleep in his teddy bear dreams.

But aren't spiders our friends?

My style Mac. I really like descriptive narrative. I understood it on the first read which means 10/10.

It could be read aloud in one of those gravelly type voices for a horror film trailer.

You are right David. I like spiders and can't tolerate the cretins that stamp on them.

Nice piece for Halloween.

And I should think so too.

This is a poem to read to kids, comfortably threatening, but not enough to cause arachnophobia - Could be a problem for those who already have it though - Best to read it in the dark.

i liked the poem, found it soothingly threatening. i keep coming back to it and i have to reread it. that means it pretty good in my humble opinion.
