I like this. Nicely menacing, especially gathering for feasting they see him smile / curling asleep in his teddy bear dreams.

But aren't spiders our friends?

My style Mac. I really like descriptive narrative. I understood it on the first read which means 10/10.

It could be read aloud in one of those gravelly type voices for a horror film trailer.

You are right David. I like spiders and can't tolerate the cretins that stamp on them.

Nice piece for Halloween.

Thanks guys. I, of course, treat spiders with the respect they deserve.

'Thanks guys. I, of course, treat spiders with the respect they deserve.' -
And I should think so too.

This is a poem to read to kids, comfortably threatening, but not enough to cause arachnophobia - Could be a problem for those who already have it though - Best to read it in the dark.

nice one

Worms always remind me of graves, how about slugs?

i liked the poem, found it soothingly threatening. i keep coming back to it and i have to reread it. that means it pretty good in my humble opinion.
