Bastard

'O Bastard flesh, my bastard, my bastard.

Will i ever be free of thee.

Bastard you are.

You trust not in your Father, nor believe.

Fear is yours O bastard,
You keep me.

Where can we go together? Will I be lead by you?
Will i ever be free?

You decieve me O Bastard.

O Father set us free.

Please have a read through the forum rules - You are asked to write at least two crits per poem you post. This is your third poem to date and you've only commented on one poem. The forum can only work on a give and take basis, so please catch up on your crits.

What a strange poem..........I've read something that sounds like this for sure.........
Maybe you could add to it and try a more original format?
I don't really get what this is saying.......Is it religious?

Sorry

Yes in a way. Its about being in the the flesh with all its selfish nature and greedy little cravings. Paul writes in Romans 7:24 "What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?"

Very interesting sweetie.......

So would this suggest that my greedy little cravings are a bad thing?

lol. Thats for your own heart to decide Dalena.

For me my flesh is my own nemesis, "I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing." Rom 7:18

This is my battle.
