They talk of death,
but now, just a few,
panic sets in with those who flew.
Honeymoon paradise to hospital bed.
Stories sold, schools closed,
Will we tame the flu head?

Oh yes, the wretched disease! Today only, the first case is reported from India! Frightening!
As for the poem, I liked the way it has been presented. Thanks.

Presented well in form with meaning. We can all relate to this sentiment. I wonder what would of happened if this 'swine virus' crossed barriers with
chicken influenza; perhaps we would be calling it now ------ 'flying-pig-flu'?

It got the point over well, "they talk of death, but now, just a few" and your last line "we will tame the flu ahead." It's so strange that
such a small life as (a virus), is capable of delivering such a heavy impact to mankind and this reminds one of, 'spanish influenza' of
1918, taking more than 50 million lives in such a short space of time. Terrible really. But then, anti-virals were unknown then.

Thought provoking for me, and nicely timed. A poem timed well is important and this relates to present times now.

Enjoyed the "honeymoon paradise to hospital bed" S1 L4. as such. Nothing wrong with cynicism here, you speak the point
in my view: we shouldn't panic unless panic becomes us. And if---we should stop to think. Nice humour in ways without
being to vulgar---as if we need to lighten up as it were-------- and not take ourselves to serious and worry to much about this.

Thankyou

Thanks for the comments

Just playing around and wanted to use something current......

I did come up with the line:-

'It's wine to water to swallow the med'

I couldn't get it to fit, even after sitting on the suitcase. I thought I was pushing it using Flew, Tame the flu(Tamiflu) head anyway ;-)
