Wonderful colors. I thought Gauguin must be the one looking for Vincent rather than Theo.
Really a great shot. The flower looks exotic.

Come to think of it, it could be Georgia O'Keefe could be looking for Vincent.

Very textural and bold. The colors are super rich - especially the stamens that look dipped in gold. Are you shooting inside or out? Nice macro as always!

Thanks Paisley, plenty to ponder in your reply, thank you.

Marten, it was taken outside on the surface of one of my ponds, hand held camera and a large dose of good fortune, with a slow shutter speed.

I have tried to get some shots previously, but the water lily bloom was just right on this occasion.

regards

Tim

It almost seems like a watercolour!
It's amazing that that's the natural photo - people apply filters in Photoshop to get that effect!!
Very nicely done!!!

Beautiful, just beautiful :)

You said you had it on a slow shutter speed, what was the light like, a bit dim?
It's a beautiful effect, I've managed something simmilar before, but I had to use a flash and a yellow light (I was shooting at night)
I love the detail, the texture and shades within the petals... :)

Brought a smile to my face while I was locked into finishing a complicated tutorial :)
