Hey, lovely to see you around again Lake. :D
Jeez, you've come on leaps and bounds.
I remember your first tentative efforts.
You had some lovely stuff but this is a completely different ball game.

This is stunning. :)
A wonderfully tranquil scene.
I love the subtle teal addition.

A confident, beautiful painting
well deserving of a scroll. :D

Hi Pauline,

Glad to hear from you. Sorry for coming back late to your reply since I messed up my password.
Your comment is such a compliment, and this forum gives me a lot of encouragement that sent me to a drawing class.
I know I am still new at drawing and wondering if there is a place for beginners, then I would post my work there. :D
I saw some of yours and others' works here that made me hesitant to post, but oh well.

Many thanks,

Lake

Lovely, Lake! And lovely to see you here again. I hope you're well. I don't know much about art but I know I like this.

Cheers

Excellent control. I used 'zoom in' to get it as a big as I could on the screen to see the detail.

Well, the place is right here. I'm still a beginner. My drawing skills are minimal. :) I look forward to seeing your sketches :) and paintings.
It's pretty much me and JJ on this forum, and I feel he would love to see your efforts.

Lake, we are here to enjoy, encourage and help each other.
You are not getting judged.
Constructive criticism is welcomed.
How else will we learn and grow.
C'mon. Dive in. The water's lovely. :D

Great to see you posting here again, Lake

I can only echo and support Pauline's every word. We're all learning, listening and helping. Not only that but we seem
to be moving in the right direction with many of the drawings and paintings showing real development. We are, in fact,
all in the same boat, so pick up an oar and pull! :)

This is a beautiful water and ink painting. I love the subtle washes and delightful atmosphere generated by the trees
as they lead to the house. Furthermore, the depth and scroll lend themselves to this style and art form very nicely.
Beautiful, relaxing and SO believable.

Best

JJ

Hi Mac,

Thanks for the comment. Seems like people like details and sometimes I am not very patient for details.

Hi Seth,

Nice to be back after a long absence, though I will have limited access.
I hope I made a little progress during the time.
Wish you are doing well!
