The picture reflects the title. The path leads into the seclusion. This, the tree and house, the defined details caught my eye.

thank you for sharing

Gorgeous style and tones, Lake. Your treatment of distance is great and the title positively sings.

Best

I thought the large black areas in the foreground were a bit too heavy, too much merely paint blobs rather than the bushes they were representing. I loved the reflections of the rocks in the lake in the left hand foreground. The distance seeemd a little too vague in contrast to the foreground. From my study of this style i would recommend leaving more of the page unpainted, perhaps even, if you can, insert some calligraphy. I realize how difficult and unforgivng this style of painting is, I hope you don't mind me being a critical. I really appreciate what you can do. I struggled with water colours for years, eventually decided they weren't for me.

Hi mac and JJ, glad you both can connect title with the drawing, it is one of the features of this kind of work.

Hi churinga, I take in all your comments, it's very helpful . I agree the foreground bushes or rock are a bit too heavy, ink and water were not controlled well so there is no air to breathe. You are right, this type of drawing needs a few words or a line of poem, author's signature and a stamp to complete. I am still working on the distance, trying to push it further and deeper.

Appreciate all your input. Thank you.

Greetings, Lake

Lovely. You SO make me want to visit that little house.
