Lovely painting, Pauline, quite haunting, in fact.

The sky, sea and beach come together to form a lovely eye-catching composition. An original perspective, I'd say.
It works so beautifully as a painterly painting, where you've achieved a balance between impressionism and realism
that really hits the mark. It's your use of colour that is reminiscent of the impressionists.

I also love the imaginative use of the canvas. Just great.

Is the foreground a tree or a grass? Couldn't be sure but fancied it might be the former. It gives depth to the pic'.

Another good one

Best

:) Yay. Thanks JJ.
Thrilled this works for you.
This is the type of painting I love the most.
Freedom to just push colour around, feel the painting emerge and take pleasure in the result.
I enjoyed painting this, and if someone else gets pleasure from it then that is my payback. :D

The foreground is a tree. An anorexic tree just to give depth.
Thanks again for your imput JJ..
