The bells chime,
The silence following
Deafens the surrounding public,
As all welcome the change.
A fresh start,
A time to resolve the old
And shape the new,
To fit a familiar mould.
A cheer,
A wild cry
Pierces the silence,
As a wave of histeria,
Jubilation,
And manic depression
Sweeps the nation,
As the old fears
Become new trials,
And the challenge
Once more
Begins...

No offence but it didn't give me anything to chew on. It sounds like few cliches enumerated in verses. Just not my type I think.

Thanx for the read.
Best regards

Your welcome.

I'm not surprised at the comment, as it was a drunken post just after the new year. But then again, not much of my writing seems to raise much of an opinion in anyone else it seems.

Indeed keep posting. Try some new stuff, too. This, to me, as well as the others of yours I've read thus far are a bit melodramatic and trite.

For whatever reason, I didn't feel like telling you that while you were so new. Considering my past record, I'd say you got off easy being ignored.

Anywho. Welcome, if I'd not said so as yet.

Cheers,

I'm beginning to think this is not the forum for me, not that I'm after a love-in forum, but a forum that denies anyone to have melodramatic poetry, will not like what I have to write.

I write what's in my head, or from past experience, but that is the way I write, and how I've always written. I'm not overly interested in learning poetic form, or techniques, as for me that would remove the joy from the writing. So, I take my leave from you folk. Please feel free to delete my user account any time.

Shit, I did it again.

Oh well, another notch in the anti-melodrama whooping stick.
