Is this your third nonsensical entry?

Is this some kind of joke?

Are we supposed to find this hilarious?

CAMUS/CAMERON

Any chance of deleting these posts? Aren't they taking up slots that other people could be using, without poking fun at the forum per se?

in the tradition of his illustrious forebear, methinks...

Are you Billy the Kid or Pat Garrett, the man who shot him that fateful July day in 1881?

Or are you simply Loki sent to tickle our minds (or sometimes our nerves)?

Come forth, you rogue jester!

Found poetry - of which this is an example, can be quite fun. However, it is only really effective if it makes some kind of point or is humorous (or preferably both).

I'll give billy the kid the benefit of the doubt for the moment but beware,
we sleep with one eye open (and camus never sleeps it seems).

Ha Ha,

Actually I'm very fond of sleep, just not in conventional hrs. I get by on Siesta's, power naps, all that behaviour. I find afternoon dreams so much more vivid.

As for Billy the kid, I'm still awaiting a rib tickling poem, but to delete his posts would be far too harsh I think Sean.

Actually in hindsight I'm laughing at the ridiculousness of the poem, can't help myself. Good title as well.

All we are saying is give the dood a chance.

I wish.

I've told y'all multiple times...I'm not smart enough to pull something like that off.

It's somebody else. Possibly Caleb, who has yet to comment on this thread...

Me? Mr. July?

See what you've gotten us into Kris? All because you've got two names, now everyone is questioning their existence. If you're going to lie to us all I would think you should at least be dishonest about it.

My guess is some internet riff-raff. The stuff's random, not clever. Perhaps a satire on our copy-and-paste society...and maybe a great tool to mock people by taking their comments out of context...but that's all I can think of.

Cheers to all,
Caleb

To burst a bubble and to put people at ease, moderators are in the know.

(We) yes I am indeed a moderator, all be it a slack one, have access to IP addresses. Therefore we know who's who and who isn't who.

And being a slack moderator I have only just realised this little loophole. There is a little button marked IP I click on that and voila I can see how many users are posting from the same computer.

Fear not though I shall take the same approach Cam and Nicola have taken, keep stum and let the games commence.

Ah...but then if we're not in the know, the best I can do is call your bluff.

Kris, you're slacking? You've already got more posts than anyone else, assuming of course that stranger and camus are your only pseudonyms.

I wouldn't mind being able to have that "hidden" feature so that I could be on with no one knowing. That's probably the only draw for moderator status though, I don't know enough about computers I suspect.

I've almost got it figured out. Someone's a schizo and has a Gollum persona bursting from their seams. Poetsgraves seemed to help them express themselves.

Pseud,

How do you mean I'm slacking?

As I said I will only post as Camus from now on, the Stranger wasn't intended to be a subterfuge, just forgetfulness on my part , and that was ages ago.

I can't speak for the other schizoids though.

oh no, I wasn't implying you're slacking, I was ironically wondering why you thought you were. I think you're a fine moderator.

And as for the forgetfulness ages ago...I killed the joke that accompanied this situation a long while ago, so I'll just drop and pronounce that you are hereby forgiven.

So, Julie and I post (though she posts rarely) from the same computer.

Does this mean my twin sister is a figment of my imagination?

And here is a question, what if someone has acces to more than one computer?

ooooh..

The plot thickens indeed.

"Kris, you're slacking? You've already got more posts than anyone else, assuming of course that stranger and camus are your only pseudonyms."

But for the IP addresses, we'll never know for sure...

Well then we certainly don't know who writes Dear Abbey, because Abbey is a pseudonym too...

The world is full of pretenders...the good news is that we can judge the poetry by its own merits, because we don't know who it is written by...

Unless....I hope no one is low enough to congratulate themselves on their own poetry under two different names...

I just realized that I post so much. Maybe it's because I try to pass the time at work reading this poetry.

I can see it now...
