Woman

Electrical impulses emitted to attract,
A pheromonal scent to allure.
An urge to converge, an incitement to act,
Volition diminished, to be sure.
An addictive impediment to rational thought,
An intoxicating loss of control,
A realisation that the connection I sought
Intertwined the two halves of a whole.
My reward for the love and affection I’ve given
Bears comparisons with the divine;
A feeling of entering a terrestrial heaven,
That celestial feeling is mine.

Hi,

Well done! I really enjoyed that poem. I found it really absorbing.

Matt,

Good use of language...but she seems a bit forced. Try not rhyming on a few. I'd like to see that.

Cheers,

it's great up until the last four lines. Then you start talking about "love" and "heaven" and stuff.
