Got apathy down to an art
just give me a place to start.

Got up early so I could start out slow.
Am I lazy? You’ll never know.

Clothed myself in staple-stitched chain mail
to combat the paper cuts and channel the static electric stings.

I might be angry if I cared at all
but my new exhibit’s just doing devilishly.

I fumbled my through unrequited love and came out
To my surprise in one piece, still standing.

Quit the same unrepentant asshole everyone
Else will or hasn’t yet.

Unhappy people still manage to breed,

Somehow.

Suggest moving one the rhyming couplets to the middle.

To show a break in routine. A change in tone. A deliberate halt. All such things.
