NO TEARS ON MY PILLOW
(I'm not cryin' for you)

by Robert Davidson.

I pictured our love like a rainbow
Arching right o'er the land,
But you never held it
Never touched with your hand.
Ooh. I won't fall apart
Might be sighin' it's true
But you won't ever be seein'
The red eyes of a broken heart.
For there's no tears on my pillow
I'm not cryin' for you.

I pictured our love like a rainbow
Arching right o'er the land,
I was dewy-eyed a moment
I was yours to command.
Yet my first loved was bruised
So swept away was I by you.
I saw we weren't meant to be
When my heart you refused.
But there's no tears on my pillow
i'm not cryin' for you.

(Bridge)

I knew I never had your heart
But I didn't know how to tell you
How I longed to be free.
'Cause just when i'd made my mind up
To leave you
You went and left me.

I pictured our love like a rainbow
Arching right o'er the land,
Sometimes I get a bit lonely
But you wouldn't understand.
Mm. I know I'll love again
In wet eyes I'll not drown,
Tomorrow will bring a new day
With sun shining through rain.
and there's no tears on my pillow
i'm not cryin' for you.
And there's no tears on my pillow
i'm not cryin' for you.
