Has anyone ever written, or thought about writing concrete poetry? I mentioned it at http://poetsgraves.co.uk/forum/viewtopi ... ight=#6127
and thought it'd be fun to see some people write it. it's all about the shape of letters on the page and the way they interact. here's my offering:

[this should be centered and viewed in courier so all the letters line up!]

there are better ways to present "white noise"

compared to some concrete poetry, my example was pretty intelligible: see, e.g. "Birds" by Russell Atkins. Just thought those open to more experimental forms might find this interesting.

thanks for that - although concrete poetry isn't always about the shape of the poem, it can also just be a series of letters which combine in different ways - e.g. starting with seven letters and making anagrammatic variations on those letters. edwin morgan's done some like this, e.g. "orgy".
