Thick-notched binding
twisted
twined
scrunched into
escape rope
hard twanged
if you follow sound.
It never towed the car but
Man, it’ll stretch a neck
No problem.

Hi Kris
This is a great little poem about rope. Was this inspired by dill's dive from the tower?
Nice to see an original cheese-free, cliche-free poem on the forum.

Thanks Cam,
It definitely has suicidal tendencies, lol.

camus my boy,
the last line is a killer - very very funny
i laughed very loud with this one!
good flow of images - compact taut ( and terrific ! lol ) - well done here
your sardonic humour balances the whole poem - defintetly no philadelphia cheese nor clumpy cliche
maybe you should write humour more often ?

Camus,
A turtleneck sweater will do the same without the pain
Liked it for it's brevity and long line of words (such as a rope). To the point--I much like 'hard twanged' and delicious ending..., maybe "escape rope" too obvious but never the less likeable here.
Cheers,
Julia

For whom the Bel (chevy) tows?
Give a poet enough rope and ....er he'll come up with a poem
about it
Nice one

Thanks guys.
I've been digging old poems up to record for my website, so I unscrupulously bumped this.
Your feedback is more than appreciated - it is.
cheers
Kris

The stretching of the neck certainly grasped my attention, But I liked
hard twanged
if you follow sound.
Gave me an image of the Rolf Harris playing the rope guitar.
