The last five lines are the best here really...

"An imaginary yet believed importance
living by the grandfather clock
Grandfathers dead
A life gone, rushed by the endless tick tock
Killed by the ringing alarm clock".

There's a lovely flow and feel to those, that doesn't quite occur otherwise.

Thanks for the comment Sean I think the ending is the best part for me personally. I like the idea behind the rest, but i don't think it's as poetic.

.Time holds a fascination for me - Nobody can explain what it is or if it is, it's always with us but no-one can ever pin it down. It's easy to complicate the subject in a poem but you managed not to do that - Good ending.

I intended to post one called 'Chronos'. I'll shelve that one for now.

About the title, 'No need for time'- Someone once said that time stops things from happening all at once - Maybe there is a need. Who knows?
