Closet skeletons abound in unfashionable
wardrobes, watching,weighting to
size you up,
giving fine form to itsybits of bikini
and under-40 waistbands
you cannot bear to throw away
(perhaps one day..)

My fuller-figured friend, these are
mere relics, pre-middle-aged;
give up each ghost to
Oxfam, for you will never
see those bones again.

Yes, nice one. I'm slightly concerned about the relationship between the skeletons (it could just be me, but are you equating the two to two different things? -- probably just me) but a lovely end.

Good jub

Tom,

Thanks - glad you enjoyed it

David

Thanks - I was going to say "my thickening friend" but I thought that was too cruel

Thanks
Do you mean as in male skeletons and female skeletons?
I wasn't trying to imply that in any one wardrobe there was more than one skeleton, or that, if there were,
they got up to something...
Or the relationship between skeletons/ghosts/old clothes/relics/bones/being able to pinch an inch or three/ ?

This hit home - sadly.

I am a complete sucker for 'weighting' instead of 'waiting'.

But I am a simple soul
