I have a poem in Amethyst today, my first in this journal: https://amethystmagazine.org/2023/08/31 ... ty-teague/

Many thanks to the regulars in The Chortling Boar for the support and encouragement 🐗👍

Greetings, FLiss and Coo,

And many congratulations! Amethyst is I think a fine journal. Your close packs a punch, as does the line "on sturdy legs." All in all, great stuff.

Cheerie,
John

I remember your poem Fliss. It got me quite emotional. Great to see it being published and shared in the wider world.

Many congrats

Superb news, Fliss, You're like the bard for the broken people and this poem really shows off your talents.

Congratulations.

Well done with getting Zeus in Snakeskin too Fliss :)

I gave Susan grief for her public service announcement shark villanelle not being the best advert for the form but obviously George does not agree.

Greetings, John,

Hooray! Thank-coos! Yes, we agree about Amethyst. Happy to pack a punch, especially with sturdy legs, hoo-hoo. I think I mentioned they accepted two poems; the second should appear a week tomorrow (^v^)

Well, bless you, MacPhil of the champers and strawberries, don't-mind-if-I-do, lols. It's been a bit of a rough road with this type of poetry, so I'm chuffed to have a little success with it 👩‍🦰👍

Thanks for both your responses, Morph; I haven't worked out how to quote more than once yet, so here we are. Hooray for the broken people, many of whom became my friends. And thanks for spotting dear Zeus in Snakeskin! I see George published two villanelles by Susan. I might try to write one at some stage 🤩

Felicity, this poem is the type of poem you write that will get you into the books as one of the greats. It is truly excellent.
Signature info:
If you don't like the black theme, it is easy to switch to a lighter color. Just ask me how.
If I don't critique your poem, it is probably because I don't understand it.

I have another poem in Amethyst today; I just showed it to one John Isbell and made a few tweaks before sending it off. John, renewed thank-coos (^v^)

Hooray! Thousand thank-coos, MacDazzled and Cheerie John. Members of the Coo-mmunity appreciate your congratulations (^v^)

The book is just a little collection we put together in readiness for Christmas last year. It's made up of poems published in journals and a few commissioned pieces. Nothing fancy, just something fun to do while I recovered from the left leg break! I was honoured to receive endorsements from one John Isbell, as well as Mike Burch and Martin Elster. Mike wrote the introduction too (^v^)
