I've got a kindle book for sale - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00INGDNS4 - it's called The Blue Book -
It's @ 98pages
The poems were written between 2000 and 2008 and are an eclectic mix on such topics as war, love, sex and death, football management, cross dressing, nature, bleaching a mouse, the Daily Mail, the connection between line dancing and salmonella, mental health, pagan mysticism, myth, and some other stuff.

What the critics say....
"How much?!"
"Why isn't this free?"
"I would have liked more sex scenes between vampires and Big Foot."

Hello Jeremy,
A bit odd to link to your blog, which states:
And so the task of selling the book begins.
I hit upon the idea of joining forums, so that I could pimp links, which in turn would feed the spiders and bump me up the search rankings. The problem is that I have never been much interested in epeening on forums. But needs must....
If you've just come here in an attempt to flog your book then you're probably not going to get a great welcome.
If you have come to genuinely workshop your poetry then that's fair enough.
Nash.

Yes, I had my suspicions. Having looked at the preview, I think you're probably wasting your time.
Rosencrantz: What are you playing at? Guildenstern: Words. Words. They're all we have to go on.

Actually I joined the forum because I was seeking to rekindle my interest in writing poetry - the fact that that I have a kindle book is neither here nor there.
But thank you for the warm welcome, it is much appreciated.

In that case you will get a warm welcome, Jeremy.
I'm sure you can understand a bit of suspicion regarding your blog post though.
All the best,
Nash.

The part you highlight is a bit of schtick to set up the later joke about Elizabeth Barrett Browning.... but hey, we all read things in different ways.
