Ps Never had you labelled as a Tennyson reader!
Congrats to Tristan
Hi Mac & Fliss,
Many thanks for the encouragement. There’s lot to appreciate in Tennyson. Admittedly, I have come to him late, as I picked up an old leather bound edition of his collected works a couple of years ago and a couple of months ago started to make my way through it. Surely, we should be able to appreciate poets from all periods and be aware that what is fashionable today may be as unfashionable as Tennyson is now in the future.
I think the Tennyson poem is the best of my poems in Snakeskin, but overall I prefer my two in London Grip.
Anyway, many thanks for reading. Much appreciated.
Cheers,
Tristan

You're welcome, Tristan
I studied Tennyson during my Eng. Lit. A Level, but I first 'met' him during a great-aunt's funeral: she'd requested a reading of 'Crossing the Bar'. I agree there's a lot to appreciate! I enjoyed reading all your poems. Possibly 'The Beauty of Understanding' is my fave.
Bw,
Fliss
