UK Subs
Hullo MacPhil,
When I saw the title of this thread, I thought I had a subscription to pay!
But here we are, a rousing sort of track. I like it a lot. 'Few punk rock songs so completely capture the boredom, anxiety, and attitude of the genre like โDown on the Farm,โ a song that shows that even removal from the urban society the Subs and other bands critique does little to quell the angst they feel.' That's from genius.com, lol. I had guessed punk rock, though, and I'd picked up on most things.
The animal noises are excellent, of course. I'm reminded of The Beatles' 'Good Morning', which leads into the thoroughly toe-tapping reprise of Sgt. Pepper
Best wishes,
Fliss

Hooray for humour, MacPhil! The animals were fun indeedy. There should be more farm animals in music generally
Ooh, ice cream and strawberries, perfection! Very hot here today; with you too, I expect. Let's see what else we have in PAT Stores...
= selection of ice-cool lollies
= little vanilla cone
= fruity cocktail!
Excellent
Bw,

Super-cool specs there, MacPhil!
Fab four indeed; amazing, the things you can find in PAT Stores, lol. Hope you (and Mrs MacPhil?) had a lovely stroll and breakfast ice cream, why not. Unfortunately I've been working for most of the day, but I managed to fit in a little poetry time very early

Hooray for indulgence without consequence, John
MacPhil, you are so lucky with all that rain. It has been a very dark day here, but it's still dry, unfortunately. We really need a good deluge, but that's looking unlikely, alas.
Perhaps we should have a PAT larder thread
Bw,
Fliss
(classic tea-and-biscuit combo for all)

Oh no, MacPhil! But catch-up brekkie is always good
I like 'Fliss larder'; I'm reminded of the time I was on high-dose prednisolone and started taking up quite a lot of room, let's say. I'm writing a few things at the moment, but time's tight. Sadly Alek's mum has passed away, and I'm helping him with the arrangements.

Ta muchly, MacPhil. We are muddling through, so far. Today we decided it might be soothing to take a little journey through Poetry World, so we both bought this book from Amazon, https://yalebooks.yale.edu/book/9780300 ... of-poetry/ (the bitesize approach is just right at the mo)
